Edit tab preferences
The following preferences are available on the Edit tab:
Timeline Options
Default timecode display: This sets the default timecode format in NTSC projects. Choose a value based on the kind of video you normally work with. See Changing the timecode format for more information.
Show chapter labels in timeline: Chapter labels are a useful tool, but can clutter up the Timeline window. Deselect this checkbox to hide them.
Slide Defaults
Duration: This sets the default duration for each slide in new slideshows.
Letterbox: When a slideshow image’s aspect ratio does not match the slideshow’s aspect ratio, DVDit Pro adds letterbox bars to fill the gap between the image and the edge of the screen. This sets the default letterbox color for new slideshows.
Transition Defaults
Automatically insert transitions between slides when creating slideshows: Select this checkbox to add transitions between each slide automatically when creating new slideshows. Then choose the transition you want from the following options.
Type: Select a transition category from this list.
Transition: Select the transition to use from this list. The Preview area shows an example of the selected transition.
Duration: This sets the default transition duration.
Subtitle Defaults
Duration: This sets the default duration for new manually-created subtitles.
