Setting the DVD jacket picture

A DVD jacket picture is an image that is stored in a special location on the disc. Some DVD players will display this image when disc playback is stopped.

To set the jacket picture, you simply select the image you want to be displayed. You can use any image you have imported into the Palette window’s Images tab (see Importing assets).

To set the jacket picture:

  • Click the Images tab in the Palette window.

  • Locate the image you want to use.

  • Right-click on the image and choose Set as Jacket Picture from the shortcut menu.

The image’s name in the Palette window turns blue and a special icon appears over the image (seen only in the Thumbnails view).

When previewing the project, the jacket picture is displayed if you stop playback. See Testing playback.

To remove the jacket picture:

  • Locate the image on the Palette window’s Images tab.

  • Right-click on the image and choose Remove Jacket Picture from the shortcut menu.
